School Program Testimonials

“This is our 3rd year of the Drama for Everyday Life Program. For many of our students, DFEL is one of their 'safe' places, where they can learn, write and apply 'scripts' for the many different social interactions that occur in a day at school. Our students have grown in confidence and are making healthy friendships as they learn the appropriate ways to express themselves when they are unsure or anxious. As a result of the program, they are enjoying increased and enriched participation in our school community, in the classroom and playground. And they love it!!”

“Students at our Secondary College have been participating in the Drama for Everyday Life Program for three years.  The Program has enabled our students to successfully integrate into main stream school with appropriate social skills, increased confidence and a feeling of success. Thankyou Angelica, Malena and Trevor for your support of our students.”

“Every child that I've taught loves going to Angelica. I have watched her program and think it is excellent – giving kids basic everyday social skills, teaching them through role play and meaningful activities which are fun and relevant for them.”

“I think that Drama for Everyday Life has helped my son in his conversational skills with adults and with children. He loves going to the program and comes home full of stories about the activities he has done. Next to conversational skills I think he has a better idea how to get started with other children. I think his confidence has improved particularly in novel situations.”

“I would like to thank Angelica Rose and also Nicola for their support. Billy is beginning to show much more empathy. A classic example came recently as I asked Billy if he is enjoying Drama for Everyday Life and would he like to continue into term 4. His reply was ‘I need to Mum, as John will be on his own if I don't go and they may not run the class anymore.’  Well that shows true comradeship. Billy is responding so well, thanks to the Drama for Everyday Life Program. Billy has been an absolute delight all week.  He has shown compassion and support in very stressful circumstances.”
